Return Value

Boolean
true if the hardware platform does not support I2C slave clock stretching or false if it does.
Remarks
Raspberry Pi's 1 to 4 (CPU cores BCM2708 to BCM2711) share a broken I2C master controller that does not support I2C slave clock stretching. This defect causes very difficult to diagnose problems with certain I2C slave devices. The Raspberry Pi 5 with its RP1 I/O Controller does support I2C slave clock stretching.
